The client’s ask was short but challenging: "Make us a trophy that becomes our club's signature award for years to come." They didn’t have a specific design in mind; they just knew they wanted a legacy piece that stood out from standard, off-the-shelf metal cups.
With such an open brief, our team started brainstorming. What is the most iconic tool of a journalist? The reporter’s boom microphone. But we wanted to give the design a deeper, more cultural soul. That’s how the idea for "The Eye of Truth" was born. We designed the main body to look like a sturdy boom microphone. For the top section, we crafted a crescent shape representing Goddess Durga’s Trinayan (the third eye). Together, it symbolizes a journalist's fearless duty to seek out the hidden truth.
Taking the concept from a raw sketch to a refined 3D model, we perfected the balance between the mic and the eye. For the final production, we chose rich artisan wood. The natural grain of the wood makes every single trophy unique, giving it a warm, premium, and earthy feel that a mass-produced item simply can't match.
