Brief

What they came to us asking for: The client runs an annual photography competition and was tired of the same old plastic or metal trophies available in the market. They told us: "We want something that gives our winners real honor. It shouldn't look like an ordinary award—it needs to genuinely motivate them to keep shooting."

The journey
behind the award

Being our first-ever trophy project, we wanted the design to speak instantly without needing any explanation. We combined two distinct visual ideas into a single piece of art.
First, we sculpted a human hand making the 'Perfect' or 'OK' sign—a universal gesture for flawless execution. Second, right inside that perfect circle formed by the fingers, we integrated a beautifully detailed camera lens shutter. The message was clear at a glance: this award belongs to someone who caught the absolute perfect shot. The design hit home so perfectly that the client ordered 300 pieces in the very first year. Today, it has officially become their annual signature award, reused year after year to honor new winners.

Designed in every detail.

The entire structure is brought to life using dual-tone artisan wood. We carefully selected contrasting wood grains to separate the sleek camera lens from the smooth lines of the hand gesture. The earthy, organic texture of the premium wood gives the trophy a timeless, collectible feel that standard market awards completely lack.

"We asked TRY for something that would motivate our photographers, and they gave us an iconic design. Seeing our winners hold the 'Perfect' gesture with the lens embedded inside is incredible. Ordering 300 pieces was the easiest decision we made."
